The nature and hunting museum on the castle

At the nature and hunting museum, the fauna of the Altmühl valley and the Jura mountains stay in the foreground, but also exhibits of hunting history.

You'll find a complete representation of all native animals and their votes, under the Hunting Act.
All birds such as the garden warbler, grasshopper warbler, barn swallow and eurasian hoopoe, all mammals in the water (muskrat) and in the country, all fish and amphibians.

The animal calls are available through headphones.

The scientific part of the exhibition also shows a complete compilation of all indigenous tree fungi, mosses, and the main timber. For the little ones are ready: a puzzle box and a grief box in which they have to touch blindly various natural materials such as wood and bark.
