St. Gallus Church

The most important supra-regional board structure is the home of St. Gallus Church, the oldest religious building in francs counted. The building dates back to the 9th century. For the period around 1060 are the narrow window in the clerestory and the upper tower.

The Carolingian building radiates equally contemplativeness, stylistic elegance and lightness of Southern. It is known from the deep piety of its early builders. The St. Mary's altar should be created around 1520 under the influence of Nuremberg masters.

With a renovation in 1953, wall paintings from the 13th Century were uncovered: Jesus Christ, the Annunciation Mary `s and the last Court in the choir.
